Welcome to the LVNP's websiteThe Lee Valley Nature Photographers are a group dedicated to wildlife photography. A lot goes into that passion, from the tools and techniques for capturing the image to the tools and techniques for presenting the final picture. Are you interested in learning more? You've come to the right place! The Aim of the LVNP is to encourage beginners and professionals alike in the art of Nature photography. Its objective is to enable all those interested in Natural History photography to meet at frequent intervals for the exchange of ideas and experiences. The LVNP does not hold competitions, but we do arrange for displays of members' work. Application for membership is open to all those interested in the field of Nature photography.
There is a wealth of information in ‘Natural Image' the newsletter of the LVNP. You'll find techniques, travelogues and real life equipment reviews to help you get the most from your camera. All of this is information you can use as you see fit for your style of photography. However, YOU must be the photographer and determine what works for you and what doesn't.
Hopefully our website will slowly expand and get updated in the months to come. By joining the club you will learn new techniques for Nature photography, from improving your field craft to image making. Digital is an incredible medium, but it's still photography and that requires a photographer behind the camera as well as at the computer. We hope you'll find the meetings and the information contained within the pages of ‘Natural Image' informative and inspirational and help you make every pixel count!
We are based in Waltham Abbey, just off of junction 26 of the M25. Meetings are held once a month (see programme for details). The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is supporting us and has used images produced by LVNP members in its publications. |
